This project is the result of collaboration with the Grub24 team, Grub24 is a delivery company which through this company you can access more than 1000+ restaurants, stores, supermarkets, drug stores in the UK. For this project we were only responsible for the Branding, The Grub24 old logos wasn’t recognizable enough for most people, so that’s why they asked for a new redesign which must have a good concept behind the logo, they asked for the G letter which it is the first letter of the company name be in their logo, and the new logo should deliver the meaning of what company do, they asked for a professional re-branding for their company.
According to the information we gathered and we know the fact that our client asked the G letter to be in the new design, we started to sketch new ideas on paper, In this step, we have done deep research about the industry they are in, we analyzed the competitors and the audience, without these it is not possible to start the branding process, According to the information we gathered and we know the fact that our client asked the G letter be in the new design, we started to sketch new ideas on paper.
We tried too many sketches, we liked design No.9 and No.10 they are a combination of The G letter and the location icon, we already know that the G letter is important because it’s the first letter of the company name (Grub24) and the location icon is kind the sign of delivering, we tried to use another great concept in this rebranding which it is the clock duration, the G letter will end at 24 o’clock which it shows the 24/7 of company activity and the 24 also used in the company name.
After our clients accepted the design No.9 and No.10 and they liked the concepts behind the logo, we have decided work on them more, as you can see in the picture below, we have continued the sketching, and we deliver a better and more optimized version of design No.9 and No.10 We designed the new sketches in software, we delivered the eight new designs that have been inspired by the logos which have been accepted by the clients.
We prioritize the new designs, and clients like what we did, they accepted design No.1, in this step we go further, and after researching deeply about colors we have shown them the design No.1 in our selected colors.
We have decided to use the Blue color, but not the initial blue we have shown them because it doesn’t have enough contrast, and later in UI it won’t be usable because of the accessibility problem, so that’s why we have deiced to work on more on different ranges of blue colors.
The color No.6 has been accepted by the client, besides the main color (The blue color) they asked for other colors for their driver apps and store apps so we deliver three different colors for their other platforms.
In this step the design and the color approved, we developed the final logo in different mockups.
